Overview

The Sound Barrier CORE 82P is a dual 8-inch, two-way, full-range passive line array module engineered for professional audio applications. Designed to deliver high-fidelity sound with impressive coverage, the CORE 82P is ideal for both touring and fixed installations. It seamlessly integrates with the CORE 82A active line array module, but can also function effectively in passive setups using rack-mounted amplifiers.

• Dual 8″ Neodymium Woofers: Equipped with two 8-inch, 2-inch voice coil Neodymium drivers, the CORE 82P ensures robust low-frequency response and high efficiency.
• High-Frequency Compression Driver: Features a 1.4-inch throat, 3-inch voice coil Neodymium compression driver, delivering clear and detailed high frequencies.
• Horn-Loaded Design: Utilizes innovative horn-loading techniques to produce a low-curvature vertical wavefront with an efficiency of 109 dB at 1 meter for a 1W input. This design allows for cabinet enclosures within the array to be splayed up to 10° without introducing gaps in the high-frequency vertical coverage.
• Wide Coverage Angles: Offers 100° horizontal and 10° vertical coverage, ensuring consistent sound dispersion across the audience area.
• Full-Bandwidth System: Despite its compact size, the CORE 82P is a full-bandwidth system and may be used without subwoofers in many applications.
• Seamless Integration: Designed to be used with the CORE 82A active line array module, the CORE 82P can also function in a passive array setup with rack-mount amplifiers if required or preferred.
• Compatible with Subwoofers: For applications requiring extended low-frequency response, the CORE 82P can be complemented by and is directly compatible with the CORE 8218SA (Active 18″ Subwoofer) and CORE 8218SP (Passive 18″ Subwoofer).
